Highway Bureau, MOTC
The Highway Bureau is committed to provincial highway engineering, highway transportation management and highway supervision, simplifying administration and facilitating the people. The business scope is divided into three categories: road engineering, road transportation and road supervision, providing convenient and safe services for the public.
Service Items
    1. According to Article 63 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act:
      1. If a car driver violates the provisions of these regulations, in addition to being punished in accordance with the regulations, if the violation is reported on the spot, one to three violation points may be recorded according to the degree of harm to driving order and traffic safety.
      2. In the case of the preceding paragraph, if the driver's license has been suspended or revoked, no violation points will be recorded
      3. If a car driver accumulates 12 violation points within one year, his driver's license will be suspended for two months; if his driver's license is suspended twice within two years, and further violation points are recorded, his driver's license will be revoked.
      4. Drivers who have accumulated six violation points within one year may apply to attend road traffic safety courses at their own expense. After completing the training, two violation points will be deducted; the deduction will be calculated from the date when the violation points are recorded to reach six points, and the deduction is limited to twice within one year.
